Use the design shown in the video to create your own version of this beautiful design for children.

Learn how to paint the design in the video to create your own variations.  This particular tiger design covers the whole face so you will have to give consideration to the child whose face you are painting.  If they are very small, you may wish to suggest cheek painting or just a small red blop of paint on their nose and a couple of dots under their eyes.

Before you begin, make sure that you have all the recommended supplies that the artist in the video recommends.

For Tiger Face Painting You Will Need:
  • 1 Variety of colors of FDA-approved cosmetic-grade face paint; DO NOT USE other paints - they could be toxic.
  • 1 1 Medium brush (Karina recommends #4 Round)
  • 1 Detail brush (Karina recommends #2 Round)
  • 1 Large brush (Karina recommends #8 Flat)
  • 1 Foam makeup sponge
  • 1 Water bowl for rinsing

Steps Shown In The Tiger Face Painting Design Video:
  1. Step 1: Lay The Groundwork

  2. Step 2: Color It In

  3. Step 3: Earn Your Stripes

  4. Step 4: Vicious Details

Face Painting Basics:

Before you start painting, it's very important to make sure that you are comfortable. You need to be able sit up straight in the chair so that you don't get backache at the end of the day. And don't be afraid to tell the child to sit up straight as well.  They only have to sit there for a couple of minutes. You've got to sit there for a long time.

Some of the skin diseases that you could pass on if you are not careful are ringworm and conjunctivitis. So once again, check with a child'd parents before you begin a session.
