Make A Party List and Work With It Until The Day Of The Party

A child's birthday party is a big deal so make sure you plan everything ahead of time so nothing is left out. To do that, it will be a good idea to make a checklist which you must follow until the event is finally over.

You should begin making a list around the theme of your party in order to know what you'll need, how much, what type of services are necessary, and what steps you'll need to take.

The list should be started about a month or two in advance. You can start by planning where the party be held, who will be invited, what is the theme, what time and day it will be held and how long it will last.

It's also a good idea to let your child get involved with the decision making if he or she is old enough. If they wish to have the party held in their favorite restaurant, see if you can arrange it for them. If you reserve a spot enough in advance, you will most likely get the day and time you desire. If you don't, you may have to reschedule everything unless you can find another similar place your child would like for their party.

Adding To Your Child Birthday Party Checklist:

The advantage of having the party in a restaurant is that you don't have to worry about the decorations, activities, prizes and the other details. If the restaurant does this on a regular basis, they already have a program prepared and all you have to do is choose the package you can afford which includes the food and everything else you'll need. This makes for a very short child birthday party checklist.

On the other hand, if your child prefers to have their party at home, you'll have to make a detailed list and follow it carefully. You'll have to begin planning the theme, the appropriate decor, the prizes that will be handed out, the activities or entertainment and all of the food and snacks that will be served, as well as the birthday cake and ice cream.

Advantages For Having A Child Home Birthday Party

There are many advantages for having the birthday party at home. You don't have to make a reservation since the place is yours, it is your decision what food to be served and you get to decide how long the party will last. Parties held in restaurants are usually over in two to three hours, which can be a little short for those who want to stay longer.

Two to three weeks before the party, you should have already sent out the invitations to all your guests. Make sure that you put your contact number on the invitation so the guests can confirm or RSVP if they can make it or not.

If you you are going to need help, get commitments from family and friends and be sure to put that information on your list. Check with them from time to time before the party to make sure that their area of responsibility is coming along.

A week or two before the party, order the cake from the bakery or store unless you intend to make it yourself. Again, let your child help out by letting him choose how the cake should look unless you wish to make it a fun surprise.

For those who plan to serve home-made food, make sure this is done ahead of time then stored in the freezer. You wouldn't want to rush to cram a day before since that is going to very difficult.

The day before the party, buy film and charge the video camera. Confirm with people who you invited if they are attending or not. If this is done at home, decorate your home, patio or yard the day before.

On the day of the party everything should fall into place so that you, your child and guests will have a great day of fun.
