Birthday Party Planning For Kids
Birthday
party planning for your child's party will make sure that everyone has
a good time as well as keeping you stress free. See
our ideas below.

A Good Party Takes Preparation
Preparing
for a kid's birthday party should take about a month in order to be
organized and have the "Big Day" go smoothly.
It's
important to note that there are specific things that need
preparation up to three or four weeks before the actual party.
An example would be renting a venue if
you're not using your home or church grounds (our church had a
free park we could use), or even your local park.
Another
consideration would be preparing the menu for the party as
well as the program of what will happen and when. A couple or
so days before the actual party should be reserved for trying to double
check things. All the other preparation should be done prior to it.
Ideas for
places to rent that include food are children's pizza restaurants and
fast food restaurants. However, if you want the children to
eat healthy food only, you can consider having the food catered at a
party facility. Food can also be catered at your home if you
will be too busy to prepare the food yourself.
Clowns,
games, and fun houses will also have to be ordered in advance.
These are very inexpensive and add much to a small child's
party.
Birthday
Party Planning Countdown:
Two Days Before The Party:
Since most of the party activities and planning should
have already been well taken care of, checking on the smaller
tasks is now where you should keep your focus. One of the
important small tasks include checking for things such as camera and
batteries, making sure the person taking the pictures will be
available.
Surely no parent would want go through any kid's birthday party without
a good quality photographs to capture those memorable moments. Checking
the camera condition as well as the batteries may be a small matter for
some, but in reality it is quite important for any party.
Confirmation for rented equipment should also be done two days before
the party. The reason for this is to make the schedule and the time
clear with the rented equipment owner just to make sure that the plans
are well understood on both sides. If you are renting the
services of a party clown, make sure to confirm with the agency or
clown.
A good birthday party planning task that is overlooked is to make sure
that you have enough garbage bags as well as plastic wrap. These are
essentials for any party.
A Day Before The Party:
With the pary only a day away, parents
should now be making only the final preparations. Make sure that the
bathrooms are clean and sanitary.
All outdoor playing areas should be cleaned and then
cleared of any hazards. Parents can then do some last-minute touch ups
to the decorations.
Set out every thing that is needed for the party in one area allocated
for the party items. Things such as game and activity materials should
be arranged in an organized manner to make them easier to locate and
use during the party proper. If flowers are needed, the floral
arrangements can be made and ordered a day prior to the party. If the
party involves having a caterer, confirmation of the schedule should
also be made to insure that you will have the food and or
cake on time.
Hours Before Party:
A few hours before the party you should look
over your checklist one more time. Then, make sure that
everything is well organized and confirmed. All
balloons, cake, ice cream and ice for the birthday
party should be picked up by a designated person or persons.
Perishables should be picked up on the day of the party,
however ice cream can easily be stored in the freezer.
Make sure that if you're using an ice chest for your drinks, it is
filled with ice and drinks, especially if it is an outdoor party and it
is very warm.
If the setting in on the outdoors, decorations for the party are
usually made hours before the day of
the party. The party area should be set up as well with
the allocated activity areas, such as the place where
the kids would be playing their games, or playing with each other after
the party and while they wait for their parent's to pick them up.
If there are pets in the house, it would be a good idea to
have them well secured in a safe area to avoid possible pet disasters,
children getting bitten, or pets eating foods that can harm them.
If there is time left, a second and final look at the checklist would
allow parents to make sure that everything is okay. The last thing to
do prior to the kid's birthday party is to wear a smile and enjoy the
festivities.
Conclusion:
Give your child the best party ever by planning ahead.
Determine what you can do yourself and make a list of what
you need to do and when. Then make a list of all your
outsourcing with phone numbers to check a few days before the party to
make sure that all services or goods will be delivered on time
or on the day of the party.
