Use
My Clay Recipe To Make This Cow Magnetic and Other ProjectsWhat could be more practical than a magnetic that tells you if your dishes are clean or dirty? Make one for your kitchen and for your friends. They'll appreciate the thoughtfulness!
Use any cutter shape and style you want using my my clay bread dough recipe below. The project is completely air-dried unless you wish to use a clay such as Fimo that needs to be baked in the oven.
For the cow above, I did the following:
I used patches of black clay and one small heart cut-out for the patches on the cow which is also a cut-out from a cookie cutter. I cut out another heart, about 1" wide for the "Clean" message. I made a clay "C" and fused it to the heart for clean and left the backside blank for dirty. You can used dried flowers for the neck, or make bread clay roses as I did.
Insert a ring into the bottom center of the cow, another jewelry ring into the top center of the heart cut-out and one into the bottom neck area where the bell will be joined.
When the project was hard, I used burnt umber acrylic paint and my flat sable brush to brush over the total cow with a thin coat of paint for an antique look. I used more color around the edges.
I used black paint to paint the eyes and nose. I also painted the heart on one side that says "Clean" and the other side "Dirty."
Glue a magnet to the backside of the cow, join the cow to the heart with a thin chain, connect the bell and you're done! Jewelry rings are used to connect all parts and pieces.

Recycle your old jewelry to make beautiful art pieces for decorating packages, pictures, boxes, wall art, cards, and more. It even make great jewelry pieces.
With many possible uses, you may want to make a few pieces for Christmas or other occasions. Get my free instructions.
