Two Of My Recipes To Make This Project
Enjoy this
free project from my Gift

Decoration, Dough Art by You! ebook.
Use my ideas to decorate or use your own. Make
whatever size you need. The size given is for a small wall
decoration the size shown above.
If you
prefer, you can use Fimo
clay, Cernit or Sculpey instead. Decorate with clay or silk
flowers.

Materials Needed For The Bread
Clay Wreath:
Instructions:
- Use
the pattern as a guide for sizing or make larger. Use medium
strands of dough squeezed from the Klay Gun circle disc to create a
round or heart shaped wreath. You can also roll thin ropes of dough as
well. Put
each in a baggie until you are ready to twist them into shape.
Make random sized strands, some larger than the
other.
Begin by laying down the large strands to create the shape (heart or
circle), then go to medium and small strands twisting them together
around the base of larger strands.
- Bake
at 350 degrees for about 60 minutes or until hard on both sides.
You can air-dry as well.
- Decorate
as you would a real grapevine wreath or use my suggested design and
cutout below.
Materials Needed For Plaque
& Home Cut-outs:
- Bread clay Recipe
- Acrylic
colors blue, black, white, brown, pink, yellow
- Thin
line brush
- Exacto
knife, pearing knife or "house cookie cutter"
- Glue
gun or quick glue
- 3"
wide Round
cutter for the plaque or any size that works
- Dried
flowers to cover the bottom of the wreath
Instructions For House:
Use the house pattern above larger or smaller than shown if you desire.
Make the house separate from the wreath.
- Roll
blue or any color clay for the house to about 1/16th of an inch.
Keep the clay smooth and even.
- Cut
out the house with your cutter or knife. If using a knife,
use the pattern as a template. Place the pattern over the
clay and slice carefully until you have the house shape complete.
- Air
dry only on both sides. When hard, paint the door and windows
using the
pattern as a guide. Use your own idea if you prefer.
- Once
the paint has dried, set aside.
Instructions
For The Plaque:
- Roll
the clay the same as for the house. Use the circle
cutter to cut into the clay.
- Use
the cutter again to cut into the clay mid-way to create a curved strip.
Cut each side to achieve a straight finish if necessary.
- Let
air dry on both sides. Paint your family name, the word
"welcome" or paint a design.
Finishing The Bread Clay Wreath:
Use a glue gun to glue the house onto the bottom center of the wreath
and the plaque to the top center. If decorating with clay or
salt dough
flowers, fuse over the bottom of the wreath, covering the
bottom of the house. Let dry. When hard,
spray the total wreath with a matt
varnish.
If decorating with dried or silk flowers, varnish the wreath
first. Let dry, and then glue the flowers in place.
Use scraps of ribbon and lace if
you desire.
Bread Clay Wreath Patterns:
GRAPEVINE WREATH STRANDS OF DOUGH
Begin with the long strands, creating the heart shape. Then wind
or twist the shorter strands of dough around the long strands
to create the vine. Do the same for a circle shape wreath.
