Use any
cutter shape and style you want to achieve, making sure that
when you bake your jewelry you do not over bake your cut-outs. It can
cause
the surface to get a little bumpy. A smooth surface

preferred for painting. Check the clay after baking
for about 15

Fimo Clay
Jewelry General Instructions:
Use
my Fimo
Clay Instructions and the Fimo Instructions on the package to
make your jewelry.
Have
ready a pallatte of basic acrylic paint, a thin line brush and
a medium sized flat sable brush.
For
enhancements gather left over materials and for accessories use
ribboon, pinbacks and earring posts.
ROSE BOUQUET HEART NECKLACE AND EARRINGS
(painted
in acrylics)
Cut
out three hearts, one large and one small. Punch a hole at
top center of the largest heart. Bake. Check after 15 minutes
to make sure the clay isn't forming bumps on the surface.
Paint the pattern on the earrings in opposite directions for left and
right.
1.
Use medium pink to paint the grid first with your thin line
brush. When dry, use the same color to paint on the large curved line
and smaller curved lines.
2.
Load dark rose onto the side edge of your flat sable brush
and use a thin layer of paint to make a circle shape for each
of the roses.
3.
With light pink, make quick horizontal slashes through the
wet dark rose circles to create the petals. Make sure to let
the dark rose color show through. The rose will take shape
with this step.
4.
Use medium green to paint a few tiny leaves around the roses
and to make a few curved lines and light shadows around the roses.
Keep your paint light when painting the slashes.
Varnish with a matte or gloss recommended Fimo varnish.
See Fimo
Clay instructions.
1.
Cut out any shape from Fimo Clay (bread clay can be used).
I like to use Fimo porcelain.
2. Roll the clay with your rolling pin to about 1/8" or 1/4"
thick.
3. Press your dried flower arrangement into the top surface.
Smooth over the flower with your index finger.
4. Use a smooth piece of glass or a small flat dish to press
the flowers into the dough or clay. I do not always press
every petal or leaf evenly into the clay. However it is a
design choice to have a completely smooth surface or not.
5. Bake in the oven per the package instructions.
However, make sure not to leave in more than twenty minutes.
6. Varnish with 2 or 3 coats of Fimo Varnish. Apply
a thin coat of varnish at a time to avoid bubbling or a look that is
over varnished.
Recycle your
old jewelry to make beautiful art pieces for decorating
packages, pictures, boxes, wall art, cards, and more. It even make
